Day 12...I had a good rest last night, so this morning I woke up full of energy and strenght! I decided to take them, for the first time in almost two weeks of their pack structure training program, to one of the biggest and busiest dog park, here in North London area. We started off with 30 minutes walk around the block, which helps to bring the level of excitement in the dogs down. Excitement many times leads to loss of control and therefore escalates into aggression. So it's very imporatnt to have full control over the dogs excited state of mind. This could be achieved through a structured walk with the handler! On this short walk, the dogs also get the time to empty themselfs, so once put in the vehicle they will be calmer during the journey!
Both did great in the car, not a single signs of tension or aggression! Very well done, boys! The walk at the park was rather challenging for both, me and the dogs! We met lots of dogs along the way, and none of my two males have shown any aggression towards them at all. For now, I don't allow them to interact with any strange dogs! When dogs start to aproach us, I keep walking, never stop to give them the opportunity to greet my dogs. This usually makes the dogs pass by, or come from behind and take a sniff at the rear! Most dogs won't mind being checked from behind. In dominant and aggressive dogs it usually creates tension followed by an attack on the other dog. However, as long as you keep on moving, you blocking the dogs mind from going forward into a flight mode! With dog aggressive dogs the worse thing to do, it's allow it to make straight face to face contact with another dog, or letting another dog to sniff at his rear, while both dogs being static. It only takes seconds, for your dog to get fixated on the other and before you notice it, it's already too late! Any form of correction from this point on, it's pretty much useless. Correcting the dog once the fight it's over, doesn't teach the dog not to fight in the future, instead it's making him believe, that he didn't fight hard enough. That's the reason for why, I'm avoiding this type of contact with my dogs, for now!
Apart from the long walk, I did allowed them to swim, which is another off leash activity this week! During the play, they were not praised! After swimming they also played some frisbee games and once finished, they were let to rest and then muzzled, put on lead and walked back to the car! Journey home was very quiet! Both were sleeping!
Dinner time was great once again..and because, they were on such a good behaviour today, I gave them raw bones reward after dinner. I watched them closely, while they were eating it. To my surprise, they finished them in peace! Now that's a big change in them, being able to eat a piece of bone together!
P. S. So far, I'm very happy with their overall progress they achieved, in just under 2 weeks...:))))

Rehab Day 11
Day 11....today I'm completely beaten.. I've tried to push myself on a long walk, but that just wasn't going to happen! So, I had to think about other ways, to get the dogs excercised and still do the daily routine walk. I decided to walk them to nearest park, and give some power training excercise. The workout includes a dog fetching a ball, while pulling a parachute attached to his harness. They both do love this game a lot! And on such a windy day, as today ..it will be way more of a challenge and fun! Gotta love the K9 paragliding!!!!
As expected, after this type of off leash games, Nero got little bit out of control once put back on lead, and had issues to walk along Tyson! Few correction and he was back to normal!
Dinner time went well, as usual!!!!

Rehab Day 10
Day 10...today we did two long walks, together with usual training routine! All went really well!!! In the evening, I ran both dogs along the bike for 10km. It was pretty cold, for me..but the boys enjoyed it!!! Shortly after returning home, I took them for a 45 minutes car ride. They were so tired, they just snuggled in and slept. I guess, we gotta do it this, before each ride..:). Dinner went well!!!
P.S. Both males are making nice progress, in week two of dog to dog aggression rehabilitation training!!!!

Rehab Day 9
Day 9..today, we had a bit of a rest day. Just did long morning walk and long evening walk. Both dogs were fine, very relaxed!! I worked on some structure training in the house. It included Nero passing by Tyson's crate few times, on the lead. Also, I made Nero rest on the defind spot, a dog bed, just couple of metres away from Tyson's crate!! Nero was very relaxed! However, different story goes for Tyson, which at some point, started to become aggressive, growled and tried to bite the crate door!! After recieving few corrections, he stoped!!!
Dinner time was great as usual!!!!

Rehab Day 8
Day 8.. opening day of the second week of our pack structure training program!!! This morning we did 10km run, daily walk including our usual training routine, during which we mainly focused on fixing the issues I mentioned yesterday!!! Nero showed slight change in his overall behaviour! It included less tension and more focus on me, which means less unnecessary eye contacts with Tyson!!! Altough, there was a moment during the training, where he lost complete control over himself and picked the fight, I still give him a credit for today's work!!
During his first week, he was very challenging towards me. Would not give in, even after recieving many repeated hard corrections!! This week, he started to be more receptive!! And that's the biggest number one change in him!!!!!!
During this first two weeks of our rehab, both dogs are completely suspended from bite work training, are not allowed any interaction with other dogs or human, and haven't been given any affection!!!
P.S...no problems during evening walk or feeding...:)

Rehab Day 7
Day 7..the last day, of the first week pack structure training program, on solving dog to dog aggression. The entire week, was full of hard work and constant challanges! I must admitt, we all are exhuasted and running low on energy, but day by day, we making progress!!!
Today, we walked twice, for 2 hours each time, working on our usual training routine. No signs of aggression, during any of these excercises!!! Due to their good behaviour, I have added two new excercises to the program!
The first one being both males taking a sniff at each others bottoms! Tyson paid no attention to it, but Nero was not about to let that happen! Tension, dirty looks, hackles up and growls...but I wasn't going to put up with it! Worked on it for about 10 minutes. Switching them around, letting one walk behind the other, while allowing them taking a little sniff now and then. Suddenly, Mr. Nero gave up..laid down and let Tyson sniff him all over!!! Now the second excercise being switching the males, on to the opposite side of my legs, Tyson on the left and Nero on the right! Again, no problem with Tyson! Nero had handful of issues with it! We were battling around, for about 30 minutes, with some severe aggression outbursts! Just when it seem like he was giving in, he completely flipped out, this time turning his aggression at me!!!! He recieved one hard correction, and was placed on his side, until total relaxation! Then we started all over again!!! He still was tense, but showed no aggression! We practiced this on our evening walk again, where he snapped few times, but nowhere near the same way, he did in the morning! It will need, few more repetions, for him to fully understand, that walking on the right side is as safe as walking on the left!!!!
Based on his issues with switching sides, I have made him eat tonights dinner, on the right side, which is where Tyson usualy eat!!! He didn't mind it!!!
Now, both sleeping nice and snug in their crates!!!
