Rehab Day 6

Reday to be called for dinner
No tension at all...busy eating..:)
Day 6...both males are doing great..sleeping well, eating well, and are very relaxed.  We started our day with 10km run, during which, for the first time in six days, none dog was muzzled!!!! No single sign of aggression towards each others, ar any other dogs, along the way. Today, I have also allowed Nero, to pass by Tyson's crate, couple of times...on lead....none has shown any aggression!!!!

Evening walk was great as usual, both shared few kisses, again... through the muzzles. Tonight's dinner time, was the most peaceful!!!

Until now, no dog was allowed to recieve any form of affection, from me or annyone else!  I'm hoping, that it will soon all change...as long, as both males remain in their balanced state of mind!!!

P.S. Love you, boys..cuddles and kisses!!!

Nero's stunts

Perching it's one of Nero's favorite activity...

Rehab Day 5

Day 5.. Today we did all our usual exercises, during which none of the dogs, showed any signs of aggressions, at all!!!!!! For the first time during this rehab, both dogs were put into the car together! I have removed the dog crates, from the boot, as they caused a lot of aggression, in the past. For now, I have split the boot in half, so each dog, has it's own space. Being unable to see each other, allows both dogs to relax! As, we are not ready, for any form of eye contacts, yet! To my surprise, during the travel, they were calm. Another step in the structure training..accomplished!!!!!!!! Dinner time went also well!!

P.S...during the walk along each other side, they shared few kisses...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! xxx

Rehab Day 4

Eating without me holding the bowls...no, we gotta work on the distance
Day 4..so far, the easiest day, of all...  Started of with a 6 mile run, early this morning, with both boys. Did our afternoon walk together, followed by our usual pack structure training... So far, for the first time this week, there was not any sign of aggression, at all!!! Also, for the first time, I was able to let one dog sit next to me, while the other dog, emptied himself, on the spot I picked for him, while on lead! Then, they switched around. This is a huge progress, because once one of the dog turns, and it's returning back to my leg, he will make straight eye contact, with the other, that is waiting. Eye contact, it's the biggest trigger to fight!!!

Evening walk was marvelous and feeding time was splendid!!! The boys, are showing such amazing progress, in such short span of time... You two are a stars!!!! :).

P. S....Oh, and they starting to become, seriously protective...Tonight, at the park, Tyson spotted a man hidding behind a shed, and gave him a big growl, followed by Nero's immediate back up... My little bodyguards..love yu!!!!

Rehab Day 3

Day 3..so far the hardest day, of all... Just to see the progress, I haven't run the dogs this morning, as I did for the first two days.. I decided to take them out, nice and rested, full of energy.. They did great at the doors, not a single sign of aggression, and much less tension, between them... As we walked out of the house, their tails, were both in the middle..and that's a great sign!!! At the park, they practiced walk along each others side, Tyson to Nero's left and right side.. No tension and no aggression, both were very relaxed and tails were in the middle!!!  We've also practiced, the down with Tyson, having nero walking pass him, in different directions. Same with Tyson, while Nero was in the down!! No aggression during this excercise, however, when Tyson made an eye contact with Nero, it triggered reaction in Nero!  He thrown few side looks, and growls, but haven't shown any will, to attack!!! Tyson remained calm! Then, we walked again, now practicing the turns..and at one point they came face to face, and that drove then into a fight.. I have put them on their sides, let them relax and tried again...on the third attempt, they walked without a problem! Both dogs emptied themselfs on the lead!!

Tyson to Nero' right..still a bit of tension, but much less, compare to yesterday
Tyson to Nero's left..both still tense, showing a bit of avoidance
both tails are in the middle....
Overall, I noticed, that today it was Tyson, who had more issues with Nero... Quite few times, he tried to give him dirty looks.. Nero, on the other hand, paid attention to me, and tried to avoid eye contact, with Tyson!!! We will see more, at evening walk and feeding time!!!

Evening walk went great, both dogs were absolutely relaxed!! Best walk in last three days!!!! Feeding went great, too...Both becoming comfortable, around each other...:). Now, all ready to hit the sack...zzz

Rehab Day 2

Today is the second day of aggression solving issues, between my two males! Last night, both dogs slept in their crates, nice and quiet, no growls, no snarls... at each others.

This morning, both were calm and relaxed! We started of with 5km run, with each dog, this time separately. After a short rest, we went for 2 hours walk all together... each dog on each side of my leg. Half way into the walk, I let Tyson, come  from behind of Nero, and join him on my left side! No agression at all! However, the aggression will start to show during a left turn, the sharper the turn, the more intense aggression from Nero! I've worked on that, for almost 45 minutes! After all my attempts, to try and fix it..Nero gave up...sharp left and right turns, all done without any aggression, whatsoever!

First time next to each others, showing tension and a bit avoidance
No tension during feeding, both eating without hesitation
Before and after walks, both still placed on the side, and not allowed to get up, until totally relaxed. Both learning to sit at the doors, and wait until called, to step out..no aggression during this, but still a little bit of a tension, in the air! For the first time, I have made them sit, and wait for their drink, at the door...To my surprise, both were looking up at me, without saying a word to them, and finished them, in peace..:). We still have evening walk, to look forward to, and a feeding...will come back, with more updates later....

Evening walk went great!!!!  Step 1...no further signs of aggressions towards each others, during the walk with both dogs on the same side of the leg!!!!
Step 2..no aggression during left and right turns, either..what a progress!!!  Love you, boys!!!!
No problems during feeding...:). Both in the crates now, ready to tuck in, for the night!!!!

I haven't been showing any affection at all, towards my dogs, during this pack structure training program...it's tough, not to give them a cuddle, but ..we all need to work hard, to deserve one...:). xx

Rehab Day 1

This morning, I took them for a 8km run along the bike, together..both wearing dominat dog collars! After, we have returned home, they were placed into the crates, left to rest for an hour and we took off, for a 2 hour walk. During the walk, they are not allowed ground sniffing, marking or an eye contact with each others! No single signs of aggression durring this process! Coming out of the doors, it's an issue for Nero, so before each walk, they are placed on the side, facing each others, and are not released, until they both relax! Nero started to slowly give in, and showing respect, towards me.

Tonight, I walked them for an hour, before feeding. At dinner time, there were no signs of aggression at all. Both dogs had to eat from a bowls, while I was holding them... Day 1 it's over, so far..so good...Both, now resting in their crates!!! Myself, I'm completely exhausted, but happy..:)
